Genomes Information

Now there are four reference grade genomes supported, including one wild soybean and three cultivars.

W05 v1

W05 is a accession of Glycine soja originated from Henan, China. The reference of W05 was first published on 2019, combined multiple sequencing technologies including PacBio subreads, Illumina paired-end reads, Optical mapping molecules (Bionano) and Illumina Hi-C reads (Dovetail).

The final assembly is 1013.2 Mb in length, with a contig N50 of 3.3 Mb. In total, 95.7% of sequences are anchored to 20 superscaffolds, corresponding to 20 soybean chromosomes. Genome annotations were based on abundant expression data, including 234.7 Gb of Illumina RNA-seq reads collected from 31 samples at various development and physiological stages and 414,750 PacBio IsoSeq full length and non-chimeric transcripts. In total, 89,477 protein-coding transcripts were annotated for 55,539 gene loci in W05 genome.

Wm82 a2v1 & a4v1

Glycine max Williams 82 genome was sequenced by Joint Genome Institute’s Community Sequencing Program (CSP), collaborated with multiple research groups from a consortium. Detail information could be found on JGI Phytozome Portal.

The original release published in 2010 is version 1, and later was updated to a2v1 (2014) and a4v1 (2019).

ZH13 v2

Zhong Huang 13 genome sequence was first publised and release in 2019 and updated to version 2 in 2020. The project is sequenced, assembled, and annotated by multiple reasearch groups of Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology (IGDB), Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Original data was hosted in China National Center for Bioinformation National Genomics Data Center (CNCB-NGDC) under project PRJCA002030.
